Prepare Tips for Your Forthcoming Telvision Segment

Posted by admin February - 9 - 2013

Are you booked as a guest on the top-rated morning show in your market in the coming weeks to discuss your latest release? If so, prepare four to five tips for your segment. Every television segment should have some sort of tips.

If you have written the latest health and fitness book and want viewers to come away with your top strategies for success early in the process, prepare tips that they can put immediately into practice. If you are a specialist in finance and would like to share your proven secrets to surviving economic strife, create a succinct list of tips that can be used as a graphic during the piece. Cookbook authors: prepare tips for making that special meal!

Tips that work particularly well during a segment will often be included on the station’s web site as well, adding another promotional element to the mix. Even if your subject matter doesn’t lend itself well to tips, consider developing creative points of interest for a standard 3-5 minute television spot.

The most successful segments–those that inspire viewers to buy your book–will almost always include great tips. Moreover, production teams and guest booking staffers are much more likely to schedule your segment if they can offer their viewers some truly beneficial tips.
